Observing the voltage rectified curves plotted agaist grid phase angle, we notice an abrupt cut off at 180ยบ when the load resistance has an ohmic value less than 100 ohms.
Connecting the apparatus up as indicated in the following wiring diagram gives us the below readings. [?] in the tuned curcuit was varied so that cutoff would occur at 60 cycles.

It checks also on decreasing values of the frequency. With 176/1.2 ohms load the cutoff and cutoff voltage differ by .4 cycles and the slope appear to be vertical on both.
