Description: (curated)

Mr. Garstang of the Electronics Co., Indianapolis, phoned Doc to tell him that the army planned to order “50 flash identification units.” They also discussed the aircraft beacon lamp. Doc told Garstang that he would send a “big spiral” tube, like the one with which Barstow was working, for testing purposes.

Doc also sketches out a circuit for a “flasher” that he and Charles Wyckoff tested from the roof of Building 10. An American Airlines pilot reported seeing the light from Dedham, Mass., about 15 miles away. (JB)
