Last week, I went to see Mr. David Rines who is now working on a patent application for the stroboscope. I talked to him for about an hour and a half and gave him my three notebooks to examine. He asked me to look up the prior art [article?].
On Monday Jan. 18, Mr. Hutchinson of the International Paper Company was here and wanted a camera to take pictures at 200 a second with an exposure of 1/10,000th of a second. This and more can be done. I told him we could make a camera go 400 frames a second with an exposure time of 1/100,000th of a second. He is going to take it up with the New York office before going ahead on the job.
Today Germeshausen and I went over to the Russell Box Company to see the strobe. We took out the strobe tube and replaced it with another which Germ made yesterday. At the same time we put in a new thyratron and a new UX280 rectifier. They seemed very pleased with the outfit out there and use it all the time.
At eleven we stopped in to see Mr. Horton of the G. R. Company to talk to him about the stroboscope, particularly about the Int. paper request. Mr. Laington [? or: Lampon?] came in and is going to come over to get the circuit.
Lampon [?] came over and we took some pictures with his new lens mount
