Notes on opposite page were made on June 15 1939 during the visit of Mr. R. N. Feight of Wright field who came as a substitute for Major Goddard.
A considerable torque would be exerted on the frame of the machine when it discharge into the lamp. I suggested that the machine be constructed in two parts one of which rotated in the opposite direction to the other. In this way their torques would oppose and thereby cancel. Provision would be needed so that the discharge rates and tuning were exactly the same.
