Description: (curated)

In 1936, Edgerton made his first trip to the home of Mae and Lawrence Webster in Holderness, New Hampshire. Mrs. Webster had made her home into a hummingbird sanctuary, training the birds to feed from hand-held vials. This page of photographs in Doc’s notebook documents the trip – from images of the Websters, to Herb Grier proudly posing with the cart of equipment used, to the set-ups for both still photographs and high-speed motion pictures of the birds.
Grier, Herbert.
